The surrounding of the house is quiet, peacefull and spacious.
There are many walking, hiking and cycling routes. It is a nice place to linger, and relax. See the information-map available in the summer house.

Next to our grassland is an natural trail. When cycling, you are within 5 minutes in the forest of Exloo, a nearby village with their own flock of sheep, ponies and cows. Within 10 minutes you can reach the forest of Schoonloo. See the website Staatsbosbeheer for more natural areas in our province.

The 'Hunebedstad' or dolmen city, can be reached by car within 10 minutes. Eesergroen is situated quite central when you want to visit the larger cities; It is a 15-minute drive by car to reach Emmen, 20 minutes for Assen, and for Groningen it is about 45 minutes.
